You may activate a drop down menu, browse view, or lookup view by:
Pressing F4
Clicking on the or the to the right of the field your cursor is in.
The order of the displayed columns may be altered by clicking a header and moving it to another area.
Right click on a column header and select "Restore Layout" to return the browser back to the original column order.
Once the drop down menu, browse view or lookup view is active you may type in your selection. The search engine will shift the data to the closest match. Use the mouse or keyboard arrow keys to select the information you want from the list.
The greater than symbols (>>)may be displayed in front of either number or name to show which field has the focus for searching, to change the focus click on the other heading bar. Some browse boxes have a searching feature even though the >> symbols are not displayed.
Once a selection is made the browse or drop down menu will close.
In a grid any header with >> may be clicked on to activate search features or switch the focus of the data to search
Some grids without the >> may be searchable by clicking a header and typing in search criteria
Some grid headers may open browse or lookup boxes
For example:
Column headers may be clicked to arrange data in order by the column information.
In some grids, once a column header has been clicked, users may begin to type and a search field will appear for the typed information.
Click on the square button to the right of the date field to activate a calendar from which you may select the appropriate date for the field.
Activate the browse function by clicking on the to the right of the field. This will bring up the browser. Click the down arrow to the right of the Look In field to bring up folders and drives where the file may be located.
Select the drive/folder combination where the needed file is saved.
Use the up and down arrow keys at the end of the field to add or subtract numbers in the field.
