In the Horizon software module, open the program that has the Attachment tab. For example, the Tenant Master or the Applicant Master. Documents may be added or scanned into the software.
Open the Attachment tab
Click the Quick Add button to open the Quick Single Document Additions program
Click the Browse button next to File to Add and highlight the directory/folder where your file is located. Click OK. The list of available files will be displayed in the grid on the bottom left of this screen.
Under Location/Document Type on the left side of the screen, select a Category
On the right side of the screen under Details you can change the document title, date and add comments.
Click the Add Document button on the Quick Links Bar at the top of the Document Additions screen.
Click OK once the document is added
Close the Quick Single Document Additions screen
Open the Attachment tab
Click the Add button to open the Document Addition screen.
Click the Browse button next to Directory and highlight the directory/folder where your file is located. Click OK. The list of available files will be displayed in the grid on the bottom left of this screen.
Single click the file or files you want to add from the listed files in the grid
Under Location/Document Type on the left side of the screen, select a Category
On the right side of the screen under Details you can change the document title, date and add comments.
Click the Add Document button on the Quick Links Bar at the top of the Document Additions screen.
Click OK once the document is added
Close the Document Additions screen
You are done and the document should be showing in the Attachment tab grid.
Open the Attachment tab
Click the Scan button to open the Scan Documents screen
Under Document Type on the left side of the screen, select a Category
On the bottom left of the screen under Details fill in the Document Title. You may also change the Document Date and add Comments
Click Use Document Feeder and/or Use Duplex box if either of these apply to the current scan
If this is a legal sized document, or a document that contains a legal page, check the Enable Advanced Selections box
Click the Scan Document button on the Quick Links bar at the top of the Scan Documents screen
Note: If you checked Enable Advanced Selections, the scanner settings dialog box will pop up. (Please be aware, these settings will vary depending on your scanner.) Your settings should give an option for something like "Scan Size" or "Paper Size or Type". For a packet or single page that is all legal, select legal. For a mixed packet with different paper sizes containing Letter and Legal, select Entire Scan Area.
Press Scan
Press Done
Click the Save Document button on the Quick Links bar at the top of the Scan Documents screen
Close the Scan Documents screen
You are done and the document should be showing in the Attachment tab grid.
Open the Attachments tab
Under Selections, you MAY select a Category and a range of dates to reduce the number of documents on your list
Once you locate the document, single click to view it on the right side of the screen
You can left or right click on the document to enlarge or reduce the size
You can also EMAIL the document by clicking the Email icon
You can double click the document to open it as a PDF file (or in Excel, Work, etc. depending on the type of file you are working with).
From your PDF program, you can print, rotate, email, etc.
If you want to delete the document, single click it and press the red X as shown in the picture above.
