To set up a new county code enter a unique code to represent the county. To pull up an existing code, enter or select the code.
County codes are used to set up income limits and rent information by county and need to be tied into the system in the project master and or the unit master. Multiple county codes may be set up.
Income limits and rent information may be set up in other modules and in other areas of the Section 8 program.
Codes are key values and may not be edited once they have been saved.
Enter an appropriate description for the code. View or edit a description that has been entered for an existing code.
When setting up income limits, enter their effective date.
In the columns enter the low, very low and extremely low income limits for families up to size 6.
Click the "Save in History" button to save the income limit amounts for the effective date entered in the header.
In the columns enter the low, very low and extremely low income limits for family sizes 7 through 12.
Click the "Save in History" button to save the income limit amounts for the effective date entered in the header.
Rent Information (Payment Standards and Fair Market Rents) may be entered by County in the County Master. Rent information may also be setup in the following places:
Maintain; Project Master on the Payment Standards/FMR tab.
Settings; Section 8 Management; on the voucher Payment Standards and the Fair Market Rents tabs
If there is more than one county and rent information differs by county, then rent information should be entered in the county master for each county. If rent information differs by project, enter the rent information in the project master. If rent information is the same for all counties and projects, enter it in the settings file.
Enter payment standard amounts for bedroom size zero through six. These fields may be left blank if payment standards are entered in another area.
Enter the fair market rent amounts for bedroom size zero through six. These fields may be left blank if fair market rents are entered in another area.
Customized limits may be entered with the following information for up to 9 limits:
