Horizon Documentviewer.net is an online web portal that allows your landlords to view and print PDF files for Section 8 HAP Payments. After your DocumentViewer.net site is originally established, you will be able to maintain certain aspects of the site from within the Horizon Section 8 Program.
How to Setup a New Landlord for DocumentViewer.net
Go to Maintain>>Landlords
Select the Landlord Number you want to work with
Open the Direct Deposit/Online Access tab and go to Online Setup
Enter the Web longin for the Landlord
The login will be your PA number with HUD ie. PA005 plus the landlord number and would look something like this: PA0051001. The login must be setup in this way and can never be changed.
Enter the Password for the Landlord
The password can be any initial password you create or the landlord provides. Once the password is uploaded it can be changed online by the landlord.
Go to Quick Link>>Send Login information to DocumentViewer.net
This program will upload the Landlord's login and password information to the website.
After the Landlord's information has been entered and uploaded, follow the instructions below to upload the Landlord's payment history.
How to Upload Landlord Payment History to DocumentViewer.netThis step should be done after each check run and after setting up a new landlord as described above.
Go to Utilities>>Send Online Payment Information
The program will upload all payment information that exists prior to the check date (cut-off date) entered. The date can be a future date if checks were written and dated for a future date.
Press the Send button
Once a landlord has been setup for DocumentViewer.net, they may change their password directly on the website. If a landlord updates their password on the website, the information will not be stored in the Horizon Section 8 program. Therefore, if a landlord loses their password, you will have to reset it from the Section 8 Module.
Go to Maintain>>Landlords
Select the Landlord whose password needs reset
Open the Direct Deposit/Online Access tab and go to Online Setup
Enter a new Password
This can be a random password you create or one provided by the landlord
Do not change the Weblogin
Go to Quick Link>>Reset Landlord Password @DocumentViewer.net
Inform the Landlord of the new password
Instruct the landlord to:
Go to www.documentviewer.net
Enter the Weblogin information for User Name
Enter the Password
Press the LOG-IN button
Enter a date range and press Search
Click on View for any listed payment to view the information
