This program allows the user to select forms or letters that have been setup in the Merge Template to be printed with merged tenant information.
The function menu at the top of the Horizon Section 8 Letter Merge includes such items as clear and close. For more information on functions, click here.
Displays the tenant number and name of the tenant. You may select a different tenant.
In the letters window/grid are displayed forms and letters that have been setup in the merge template. Click in the box to checkmark a letter/form to select it for printing.
Verification group headers may be checked instead of individual verification forms to have all of the forms in the verification group print out for the tenant if specifications are met.
For example:
If you checkmark the Medical/Deduction Verification group header all of the forms/letters listed under the header will print for this tenant or household member if they have a deduction entered that has been tied in Deduction Codes to a Letter Interfaced with Section 8.
The letter date field is a merge field that may be included in forms or letters. The merged field will print any date that is entered or selected here.
Select a Category to filter forms or letters.
If Categories have not been setup and assigned to letters or forms in the Merge Template, the default of All Categories will be the only selection available.
The displayed forms/letters may be viewed in one of the following orders:
Letter Code - this is the code that the letter/form is setup under in the merge template. The letter code is not displayed in Custom Forms and Letters.
Description - the description that was entered for the letter code in the merge template and is displayed in Custom Forms and Letters.
Note:
All forms/letters will still be grouped under their Letter Type (verification group).
The default Letter Sort order may be set in Section 8 Management under Merge Setup>>Other Settings>>Letter Sort.
This box may be checked to override some of the print/preview options set in the Merge Template for the form/letter.
For a first time print, leave this box unchecked.
This box may be checked to force a print dialog box to be displayed for the selected form/letter.
Click the print button to bring up the print options dialog box. The form may still be previewed if preview is selected in the Direct to... field.
Sends the selected form/letter directly to preview on screen. The form/letter may be printed from preview by clicking the second (print all pages) printer icon. If the printer icon is right clicked a printer selection dialog box will be brought up.
Click the close button to close out of the Custom Form and Letters program.
