Pull 1099 Information

This program is the first step in preparing 1099 information for submission or printing of 1099 information for a reporting year.  The information will be pulled from the Landlord and Agent history files that have a check mark in the send 1099 field.

Information may be pulled and a final edit list printed as a means of checking Landlord/Agent information to see if any may need added or removed (add or remove the send 1099 checkmark in the Section 8 Landlord Master and the Section 8 Agent Master).  After adjustments have been made, the Landlord/Agent information may be pulled again to begin the actual 1099 process.

Note:

Section 8 and the Financial program share the 1099 file.  When Section 8 is pulled, the Financial 1099 file will be affected.

Date Selection

1099s are processed for a calendar year.  The dates entered in the start and end should be the beginning and ending dates of the calendar year being reported.

Starting Date

Enter a January first date for the year the 1099 information is to be submitted for.

For example:  01/01/13

Ending Date

Enter a December 31st date for the year the 1099 information is to be submitted for.

For example:  12/31/13

Vendor Pull Options

There are two name choices available as pull options, the one you will select depends on how your information is entered in the Landlord and Agent Master.  You may pull the 1099 information multiple times to find the best option for you.

Caution:

Name Choice

Select one of the following options for pulling Vendor Information:

Work File Options

Because several modules use the same 1099 work file to store 1099 information there are two options available when pulling information.

Add to Work File

Use this option to add the information from this pull to information already pulled such as Accounts Payable information or to add information from another paygroup.  If you pull the same information twice it will be duplicated.  If you pull with the Add to Work File option using a reporting group that has already been used (or left blank) then it will duplicate the information in that reporting group.

Caution:

If you are pulling Section 8 information for a second time with the same reporting criteria and with the add to work file selected, 1099 information will be duplicated.  The program does not update information that you may have adjusted in the Vendor Master.

Re-Create Work File For Reporting Group Selected

Use this option when you are pulling to different Reporting Groups.  This will clear all information in the file for the Reporting Group entered.  It will not clear any other Reporting Group Information.

Remove ALL 1099 Information in Work File before Pulling

This option is used for the first pull or to remove duplicated information.  It clears out any information already in the file  and replaces it with the information being pulled.

Caution:

This option will erase all information from the work file for the company, including information from other modules, and replaces it with the information that is being pulled this time.

Other Options

Combine Payees by Tax ID

With this box checked the program will combine Landlords or Agents with the same social security number or federal identification number in the same file.  Landlords or Agents with blank social security numbers and federal identification numbers will all be combined in one file.

Add to Reporting Group

May enter a Reporting Group ID (may make one up) to group 1099 information.  All groups are in the same work file within a company.
