This program is used to setup templates for letters or forms with variables that will pull information from one or more selected employees into the letter or form when it is previewed or printed.

Enter a new unique Code for a new template or select an existing code to edit or review.
Enter or edit the Description.
Select one of the following options:
Shared Component - used to setup a portion of a letter or form that can be included in other letters and forms. For example: a letterhead.
Standard Employee Letter/Form - used to setup a template into which variable information will be merged from an employee's files when the template is previewed or printed.
Enter the number of pages that the form/letter template will be. The amount of pages may be adjusted at any time and saved.
Press the Pick Sample button to open an Employee Browse. (Optional)
Select an employee to view their information while setting up a new template. This field may be left blank.
Press the Design button to open the Edit Layout view. For a new form/letter the Project Wizard will be displayed.
The edit layout view is used to setup/design the template and add variables.
Press the Preview Sample button (after a template has been created) to preview the letter/form on screen. An employee should be selected in Pick Sample before previewing or printing.
Press the Print Sample button to open the Print Options dialog box. An employee should be selected in Pick Sample before previewing or printing.
Special questions are used to enter information into a form or letter by the user that does not have a variable option.
When a template is previewed or printed that includes a special question, users will see a form that will allow them to type in answers to the special questions. The answers will be inserted into the template where the special question was placed in the template.
For example:
In Question 1 enter "Date employee fell".
In the Edit Layout view, a Special Question folder will become available with "Date employee fell" as a variable option.
Drag n drop the special question over into the template or select the special question variable in a text or formatted text field.
Enter one to twelve text questions to which users will type answers when the template is previewed or printed.
